Khartoum, Bahri (Sudan) – The Morouj Commodities Ltd company approaches the milling sector for the first time, finding in Ocrim the ideal partner to make this step: the construction of a 600 T/24h Soft/Hard wheat milling plant characterized by a high technological profile.

A Medium-Long Term Project

North-eastern Africa, and more precisely in the third most populous city in Sudan. About a year ago the company Morouj Commodities Ltd – one of the largest companies in the packaging, processing and import of food products in Sudan – decided to enter the milling sector, entrusting Ocrim with the construction of its first milling plant to meet the needs of the local market.  “The customer recognized Ocrim as the ideal partner capable of supplying products in line with its expectations of quality and productivity, putting its trust in Ocrim for the realization of a medium-long term project. We can only be proud of it and accept this new and ambitious challenge.”, commented the area manager, Luigi Caterina, who followed the negotiations.

Going into the project details, it involves the construction of a 600 T/24 h Soft/Hard wheat plant to obtain high quality flours to produce pasta and bakery products. It will also be possible to produce special flours by adding micro-ingredients thanks to a highly versatile 40T/h mixing system inside the 1200 T flour storage section.

The plant is designed according to state-of-the-art technological layout, plant engineering and automation solutions, including the innovative modularity system (Modular Mill Concept), of which Ocrim is a pioneer. Modular Mill Concept allows to stop only a part of the mill and maintenance only on the machines involved without having to stop the entire line. The supply also includes a dedicated management@mill software, which will ensure the monitoring of the performance of the entire plant.
