One of the most modern and automated handling systems in Central America has now been tested. The relationship with Molinos de Costa Rica S.A. dates back to four years ago, when Ocrim designed a complete durum wheat milling plant. The choice of having a single contact point responds to a precise strategy of giving continuity to the high and recognized technological level guaranteed by Ocrim.

A Trust Relationship Guarantees Process Quality

Its quality policies are well known to the market. Molinos de Costa Rica S.A. (Alajuela, Costa Rica) since its origins, in 1965, has always invested wide resources in cutting-edge technologies and the development of new products, distinguishing itself by the high-quality level of its production processes. The first milling plant dates back to more than 50 years ago, with a capacity of 250 t/24h. Currently it has four grinding units for a total of 1500 tons. The last major investment concerns the fully automated handling system made by Ocrim. This is a new packaging line, a completion of the existing system, for small-cut flour packets, intended for convenience goods sector. In detail, the line supplied includes the primary packaging in bags, automatic quality and quantity control systems for the packaging, conveyors lines, secondary packaging in shrink-wrapped bundle and in pre-cut cardboard boxes, and finally the double robotic automatic palletizing station and wrapping of pallets with stretch-film.

The relationship with Ocrim dates back to four years ago with the supply of a 300 TPD durum wheat flour milling plant that allowed Molinos de Costa Rica to evaluate and appreciate Ocrim technological level, both from the design and executive point of view. The decision to trust in Ocrim again for the realization of the handling system, derives from the company strategy to give continuity to quality and, the choice to have a single contact point represents, in this sense, an indisputable guarantee to offer the market the same constant level of excellence. Molinos de Costa Rica presides over various market segments, from large food producers, to organized distribution, to traditional channels, with a range of products ranging from baked flours, to pastries, biscuits, pasta and special flours customized for different customers.
