This is the case of Phacelia, the honey plant, a source of precious nourishment for bees which blooms in this period of scarce availability of pollen. The protection of bees is one of the most urgent global issues; their survival is threatened by the indiscriminate use of pesticides, pollution and climate change, endangering their fundamental role in maintaining biodiversity and conserving nature. Promoting Phacelia crops is a small but significant contribution to protecting bees’ lives.

The manifesto traces the guidelines, after Covid-19, of a new globalized economic model to enhance the Made in Italy agri-food sector and maintain the world record of excellence. The strategic focus of the project is digital innovation through the creation of apps, platforms, patents and technologies accessible by farms of all sizes.

We are now running at full operation. Is it the same like before? Apparently it is, and yet something has changed in the heart of each of us. The fear and isolation of the last few months have brought about a new awareness, making us reassess those values that have faded a little over time: family, sharing, friendship, our tricolor. We are experiencing a new start, a new way of appreciating life and every little gesture of everyday life that we used to take for granted. And so we realize that there is always a silver lining, even in the worst situations.

THE OCRIM CHARACTERS: LUIGI GRASSI, BRILLIANT TECHNICIAN OF MILLING ART

He was certainly one of the most innovative technicians in the international milling industry. Luigi Grassi, cousin of the founder Cav. Guido Grassi has been able to combine new processing methods with the different production needs of world markets. He didn’t like to show off; praise embarrassed him, but he had a passion for research and the great natural talent of teaching. He was in fact an authoritative and unforgettable teacher for generations of young people. He had prestigious awards and was awarded with the “Star of Merit of Labour”, one of the most important honours of the Italian State.

A few days after the full reopening of the business, slowed down by the Covid-19 emergency, Ocrim and JSC Makfa have reached agreement for a new grinding unit having a capacity of 250 T/24h. The innovative technological solutions proposed by Ocrim consolidate the ten-year collaboration with the largest Russian flour milling complex. Makfa, historical brand for the production of pasta, cereals, flakes, flour and baking mixes, is the n°1 among pasta producers in Eastern Europe and is ranking in the top 5 of global pasta producers.

MEDICAL SUPPLIES PURCHASED THANKS OCRIM DONATION

Five special hospital beds are already in use in the pulmonology departments of the Cremona and Crema hospitals, purchased by the Arco Onlus Association thanks to Ocrim donation. They are hospital beds for prono-supination, an important health equipment to promote patients’ recovery suffering from severe respiratory distress. Alberto Antolini – Ocrim CEO – expressed his deep satisfaction for the concrete help offered to healthcare networks and the grateful support for the invaluable work of doctors, nurses and operators.
