The business of Mafia in the agri-food sector, called “Agromafia”, is worryingly growing. This is what emerges from the “6th Agromafie Report 2018” presented on February 14 by Coldiretti, Eurispes and Observatory of Crime in Agriculture and the Food Chain. During the meeting, the main initiatives, to protect Made in Italy and consumer health, were proposed to counter fraud and counterfeiting.
The state of the art of digitalisation in the Italian agri-food supply chain was presented a few days ago thanks to the annual survey of the Smart Agri-food Observatory of the School of Management of Politecnico di Milano in collaboration with the University of Brescia.
The alluvial nature of the lands, where “Le Stagioni d’Italia” rice is grown, offers the product unique nutritional and quality characteristics. Bonifiche Ferraresi produces and transforms the product in the estate of Jolanda di Savoia (Ferrara – Italy). From March, two new varieties of rice will be available, Baldo and Volano PGI.
The new website, completely renovated in design and structure, has been designed to make communication more effective and immediate, facilitating navigation in a particularly rich and articulated context. The agri-food supply chain, of which Ocrim is an integral part, acts as a common thread between the various activities, services and the variety of products offered.
Jolanda di Savoia (Ferrara, Italy) – At one of the Bonifiche Ferraresi estate, work started for the construction of a stone milling plant for cereals, such as wheat and spelt. With this project Bonifiche Ferraresi will oversee the entire production chain of cereals: from seeding to the production of high-quality special flours, until their marketing under the “Le Stagioni d’Italia” brand.
One of De Lotto Group plants, located in Volpago del Montello (Treviso-Italy), will soon have a new plant for processing maize, with a capacity of 240T/24h. Ocrim will realize it with an innovative project that involves the automation of the whole process and reduced maintenance costs.
