With autumn around the corner, a new series of “Maintenance & Automation” webinars will begin. Registration is already open for the first event, “The future is @mobile”, which will be held on Thursday 23rd September regarding automation applied to Ocrim machines. The speakers, Luca Fiorani – web&Mobile Developer – and Ivan Marzani – PLC Designer – will illustrate the Tablet@Mobile System for intelligent machine management. You can watch operation of the application connected to the rolling mill live.

Automation is becoming an increasingly functional and essential ally to increase productivity, to make processes more efficient and to reduce the margins of error within systems. Eliminating the majority of repetitive manual activities and maintenance operations means new resources freed from work, more time to deal with new market challenges and improved production.

We are living in an era of digital transformation and Ocrim, committed to its role as innovative partner, has invested extensive resources in the study and research of tools to accompany customers in the transition to digital. The tablet@mobile application is a tangible example of how high performance goals can be achieved in the management of Ocrim machines.

Our speakers Luca Fiorani and Ivan Marzani will discuss this extensively in the next webinar, The future is @mobile, scheduled for 23 September specifically dedicated to the topic of automation. Coordinated by mechanical engineer Nicola Riboldi, Ocrim’s automation technicians will illustrate and demonstrate the advantages of this application in the field.

Luca Fiorani, web&mobile Developer and main representative at Ocrim for tablet projects, will discuss the tablet @mobile system features, giving a detailed explanation of the structure, navigation, registration and configuration methods for users, and the settings for correct data collection and error diagnostics.

Ivan, automation technician and PLC programmer, will illustrate the system’s operation live with a practical demonstration applied to the rolling mill.  By showing the machine’s management pages from the tablet, he will simulate the grinding process live. This type is also extended to other Ocrim electronic machines, such as the WGL continuous flow meter or the DMI/A and DNI/S automatic and semi-automatic soaking unit.

Attend the event for more details. The webinar, live on Zoom, is approximately 45 minutes and will be presented in two sessions: 10 am and 4 pm. It will be in Italian with simultaneous translation in English, French and Spanish. As usual, the event addresses technicians, maintenance operators and millers, however, participation is open to anyone interested in being updated on the most advanced technologies in the milling industry.

Registration for the event is free of charge and subject to limitation. Register now:
