Little Rock, Arkansas – Gerald Richardson, founder and president of CETEC Cereal Technologies and Ocrim long-time partner, was recently the recipient of the prestigious J. George Kehr Memorial Award at IAOM Annual IAOM Conference & Expo for his contributions to the IAOM’s North America and Latin America districts. Our congratulations!
A Deserved recognition
The 125th edition of the IAOM Annual Conference & Expo – the premier educational event for grain milling and seed processing professionals – handed out its industry awards on September 1 at the annual banquet at the Little Rock Marriott Hotel, Arkansas (USA). Each year the International Association of Millers (IAOM) recognizes the achievements and contributions of its members to the grain processing industry. The J. George Kehr Memorial Award this year was awarded to our long-time partner Gerard Richardson, founder and president of CETEC Cereal Technologies, Inc. An important recognition given to an individual who makes outstanding contributions in membership recruitment and district development. Gerald is a long-time member of the IAOM with over 30 years of affiliation. For the last decade, he has been very instrumental in the growth and development of IAOM districts in both North America and Latin America. Determined, Gerald worked relentlessly with the help of millers and industry colleagues to spread the word about the Latin America district conference. Since, attendance continues to rise and his contributions are now reflective upon its success today.
The awards ceremony was chaired by Wade Blalock, Grain Craft Vice President of Operations, who presented the award and made the speech on behalf of former IAOM President, Ivo Klaric, who passed away last year.
“I was honored to have Wade Blalock surprise me with this award. Thanks Wade”, these are the words that Gerard Richardson expressed on his Facebook social profile concerning the highly regard award.
In closing his speech, Gerald expressed “We are paid to be problem solvers. If you’re not solving problems, you are likely part of the problem. Be passionate about what you do.”
