Research and Development are one of the pivotal points of Ocrim’s mission: we strongly believe that only by generating new knowledge and new investments  we can provide continuity to the present and stability to the future. That is why we have set up a strategic business and improvement plan for the three-year period 2021-2023 which represents a 7.5 million euros of investment. The actions will cover four areas: Milling Hub expansion, a new and innovative complex dedicated to the treatment of grinding rollers, the modernization of the carpentry department and the development of Digital Transformation.

Our Growth Factors

Ocrim industrial plan for the three-year period 2021-2023 carries along a strong signal of belief in the future and, in particular, in our corporate life and in our ability in looking ahead to understand and recognize new long-term trends. We are ready to develop new growing drivers and we make it by investing 7.5 million euros in a strategic business expansion and improving plan. The focus of the investment concerns Ocrim’s heart: the grinding and fluting machines. The new complex, called Fluting Hub, that will be built at the Porto Canale site is specifically designed for the management of the grinding rollers and equipped with cutting-edge production techniques. Still in the Porto Canale headquarters, following the request of a new customer, the Milling Hub site will expand: a new second mill for grinding durum wheat will be built. In addition, part of the investments will regard the modernization of the carpentry department, which had already started in 2020 with the acquisition of the new 2D laser which increased the company production up of 50%. The actions will also concern the welding area which will be equipped with modern tools and machines, including a third new robotic welding station. A further fundamental and strategic choice regards the Digital Transformation process for which a total company conversion to digital is expected within the three-year period 2021-2023. This represents an important step that will have a positive impact on the company structure and organization and which includes a general review of the business setting, the implementation of the business continuity and the inclusion of integrated tools.

Finally, due to its great success, our OcrimWebinars will continue. New webinar events have been scheduled throughout 2021 concerning and exploring different topics such as assistance, automation, maintenance techniques and other issues related to new trends in the milling plant world.

It is going to be a very challenging and demanding year, but we are ready to face the future with our typical enthusiasm and professionalism to keep by your side and assure our presence even from a distance: far away, but close.
