News from Bonifiche Ferraresi. PER Spa, owned by Carlo De Benedetti, sales its shares of BF Spa to Federico Vecchioni, CEO of BF Spa, and to the Antolini family (Ocrim Spa – Cremona).
Last February, Carlo De Benedetti put on sale 9.4% of the BF Spa share capital, holding company and owner of Bonifiche Ferraresi, the largest Italian agricultural company for utilized agricultural area. Today, Federico Vecchioni, CEO of BF Spa, an agro-industrial group listed on the Milan Stock Exchange, has reached an agreement for the acquisition of 5.13% of BF Spa shares from PER Spa, owned by Carlo De Benedetti. The operation was carried out in part directly by Federico Vecchioni and the Antolini family (Ocrim Spa – Cremona) and partly through Arum Srl, an entity whose shareholders are Federico Vecchioni and the Antolini family (Ocrim Spa – Cremona), both directly and indirectly shareholders of BF Spa. The transaction has a value of around 24 million euros.
The initiative stems from the absolute conviction of the industrial value that the BF Spa project expresses and that it will be able to express taking into account the strategic choices that the group has undertaken. The market context, in which the group is positioned today, attributes solidity and certainty in the results for those of us who believe in the Italian agri-food supply chain and in the ability to generate value from the winning union of innovation and tradition. At the same time PER Spa also sold a further share of the BF Spa share capital equal to 1.03% to the JCI Capital Limited fund.
